A Dynamic Cultural Forum Spotlighting Asian American Culture

The New York Times engaged us to highlight the depth and influence of Asian American culture through a dynamic, multi-segment live experience. The mandate was to move completely past the predictable formula of a traditional diversity initiative.

Together, we designed a platform that established true cultural relevance, attracted influential audiences, and spotlighted the contemporary artists and voices shifting our cultural landscape from diverse points of view.

Joseph Axiak

My personal experience with web design started when I wanted to create a website for my band in 2015. I immediately fell in love with the process and started offering the service for free to my friends and peers. I eventually got a job as a Squarespace Developer with Superside, a global design company employing hundres of remote workers worldwide. This allowed me to work with a wide variety of clients with different needs and expectations. This allowed me to develop my skills creating custom content with HTML, CSS and more recently, JS and JQuery. Now a freelancer, I focus on building relationships with clients, delivering fully customized websites for a wide variety of sectors.
