IEEE Medal of Honor Ceremony and Laureate Forum

NEW YORK, NY
LAS VEGAS, NV

THE BRIEF

IEEE engaged us to reimagine its Medal of Honor Award announcement, ceremony and Laureate Forum as more than just a prestigious annual event. The objective was to create a strategic, year-round platform that would elevate the visibility of the award, strengthen engagement across the IEEE community, and position the program as a globally recognized moment that attracted influential media, speakers, members, and future innovators.

What We
Set Out To Do

01

Transform the Medal of Honor from a standalone awards event into a sustained communications platform.

02

Create a unified narrative that connects the award announcement, Laureate Forum, and gala experience.

03

Increase visibility and engagement across media, members, and the broader technology community.

04

Attract world-renowned thought leaders and speakers while strengthening relationships across the IEEE ecosystem.

THE CHALLENGE

The Medal of Honor had historically been viewed as a single annual event rather than an ongoing platform for engagement.

Multiple internal teams and external partners required alignment around one cohesive vision and communications strategy.

Building momentum between the award announcement and gala demanded consistent storytelling across channels.

Securing high-profile speakers and meaningful media attention required a compelling narrative beyond the award itself.

Our Strategy & Execution

We developed a comprehensive strategy that repositioned the Medal of Honor as a year-round flagship initiative, creating a consistent drumbeat of storytelling from announcement through celebration.

Our team led end-to-end event strategy, project management, and cross-functional coordination, ensuring every milestone supported the larger vision. We directed external public relations and social media agencies to deliver a unified communications approach while shaping messaging that maintained momentum throughout the campaign.

To extend the program's impact beyond the gala, we conceived and editorially produced the 2026 Laureate Forum, creating a platform that connected generations of innovators through meaningful conversations and thought leadership. This transformed the event from a celebration of achievement into a catalyst for ongoing engagement.
